I am the owner/operator of Parties 101. I was raised in Owen Sound, Ontario. I have many years experience in retail management and working in day cares and schools in Owen Sound and area.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, and my Educational Support Worker Certificate from Georgian College, Owen Sound/Orillia, Ontario campuses.

My interest in party and event planning started when I was in high school. I was fortunate enough to have been elected head of the Social Committee on student council. I was personally responsible for recruiting assistants, designing, organizing and hosting the yearly commencement and prom. It was a LOT of work and caused a lot of stress, but I loved every minute of it. It was extremely rewarding to watch an idea grow to become something real, worthwhile and appreciated.

My biggest and best accomplishment in life has been having and raising my son, Chris who is now 12 ½ years old. As a single mom, I have faced many challenges...running Parties 101 is one of the most exciting!!!

Through my years working with children, I have gained a tremendous amount of understanding, love and respect for them. All children have many obstacles and challenges that they face in their life but some have ones that are monumental. I would like to do my part in helping to make the wishes of those children come true. A portion of all of the proceeds from this site is donated to The Children's Wish Foundation. This organization is dedicated to fulfilling a favourite wish for children afflicted with a high risk, life-threatening illness.
